Discussion in 'Wanted' started by Steve Whitton, Nov 25, 2020.

  1. Hi

    Thanks
    Steve

  2. You must have meant « Foggy » on your title.

  9. @Steve Whitton there’s one in Italia in Lincoln... ain’t cheap though.

  10. Hi
Yes spoke them about that one but to many miles for what I am looking for, the bike specialist also have one but I think 35K is ridiculous

  11. Yeah 35K miles is a bit high, I’d deffo be after something lower

  12. 35k is the price (Bike Specialists) 3k miles which is apparently too expensive. The Italia Moto bike is 27k and 12k miles which is apparently too many miles (500 odd per annum).
As there are at least 200 of these available and for sale at any one time, something much cheaper and with far fewer miles will appear shortly!

  13. Three batches were manufactured;
    1998 202 models
    1999 150
    2000 147

  14. I would go for the 998R if your hunting in that price range....

  17. Italia also have a 1000 mile 748R in stock in yellow  at under £13k. All serviced and belted and ready to go. A genuinely lovely little thing.

Depends what the requirement is... investment, ornament or motorcycle. I don't think I could have one and resist riding it... would love an R at some point as they're very pretty. The Foggy thing foxes me a bit (but I'm not such a fan), surely the maximum / optimum would be one without the stickers etc. fitted? It looks a bit too busy / Halfords with all the decals on for me. I feel a bit the same about the Bostrom / Bayliss etc. and about some of the other special editions too... the calmer ones normally tick more boxes for me.

998R sounds like a lovely suggestion, Testastretta too...

  19. Don’t think that makes any diff.
The 998R is the last of an era, desired, reliable, all carbon, do I need to go on...it has more than enough power for a static bike ;) It’s a choice mate, good luck with that. I’ve got it like Joe, covered....
