Had my first ride back from the dealers yesterday and covered approx 60 miles. Amazing bike and super confident handling on all the road conditions I covered (mainly B roads twisty and bumpy!) The only concern I have is with the stock foot pegs. They were incredibly slippery after I got caught in a shower yesterday. Am currently looking at options but may blow the budget with the dp foot pegs! Oberon look similar to stock and have tried google but no luck. Anyone on here swapped the standard pegs over? Love the bike though, am going for another blast now! Cheers!
Yes same problem, the ball on the end of the footpeg does not give suffecient grip. I have changed mine over to Rizoma, pegs cost around £21 pounds and are available in different colours and you will need an adapter costing around £12 also. These give much better grip and look better too.
Hi Peter Thanks for the reply. I am looking into getting the following - Rizoma B-Pro Foot Pegs - Rizoma B-Pro PE630B Foot Pegs in Black Finish. With PE712A adaptors. They look grippy enough to me! Also looked in to the Gilles option as below. These offer a bit of adjustability if you also get the extension kit. RGK2 extension kit 20 mm silver (RGK-A-20-S) - this is the bar from the peg to the attachment and allows some up-down-front-rear adjustment to the peg position. RGK2 enlargement kit 10 mm silver (RGK-DS01-S) - this spaces the pegs out a bit to remove the heel rubbing on the brake side. Will keep you posted on what I opt for. Can I ask where you got your pegs from please mate? Cheers

Thanks PeterT I spoke to Pro Twins and they advised I get the Rizoma pro pegs as they offer the best grip. They arrived in the post this morning and look to be really nice quality. Excellent service from Pro Twins and would highly recommend them to anyone after trick parts.
This may be a silly question as I am not near my bike at the mo but are they easy to fit? I have the adaptors also but may leave it for the bike shop to do. Cheers.
Easy if you are confident with a screwdriver!! The original footpegs are held on with a pin and a small circlip, simply prise the circlip of using a screwdriver and withdraw the pin, easy as that!!!!!!!!!!! BUT be very careful with the circlip as the bend very easily but can be bent back into shape so not a major concern, refitting is basically the same with the Rizoma units.
New Rizoma pegs are fitted and feel great. Done about 100 miles at the weekend and they certainly offer much better grip than the originals. Very happy with how they look and its always nice to get the first mod done and dusted!
