  6. Been a few times. Never had a dry trip. April, May, June, August all been wet at some point.

  8. By a stroke of luck, the area of Germany nearest to UK, and an easy ride from Calais, happens to be the Eifel - which has loads of superb roads, gorgeous landscapes, and lovely towns as well as the Nurburgring. If you haven't been there yet, you should go.
