You might have known David on the old Ducatisti site.He was often at Box Hill,either on one of his Monsters or a 955. He passed away on Sunday morning after a long and painful time. R.I.P.
I'm not sure if I ever met David Mervyn, did he come to the lemon drizzle meet? Really sad news to hear.
I knew David and was aware of his illness which also claimed his wife some time ago. I did wonder why he was not seen on this forum much, if at all, and strangely I was only thinking about him the other day. A very decent and gentle man, and so sad to see him go as I knew something of his illness and how hard he was fighting against it when I met him several times over the years. RIP
I didn't know his forum name Ducbird.I only got to know him within about the last 18 months. He did come along to the lemon drizzle event at Box Chris.I think that was the first time I met him.We had a few ride outs,short ones,and communicated quite a lot by phone and text.He was a very decent chap and would help anyone out. As you say Red998,he was fighting it all the way and right up to the end.
this seems to be all everyone seems to hear, i know somethings going to get us in the end but still its crap to hear........rest in peace dude.
