A pos fails its first MoT on swinging arm bearings amongst other stuff and so you decide to sell it. So you picture it in its normal parking space by the bags of crap. I must be missing something because I can't see the attraction.....let alone not being arsed to take off the L-plates!
It will be sold to another learner or learners dad, so the L plates are a bonus. Learner bikes tend to be neglected because they are used as commuters and will be sold on to another learner as soon as the test is passed and a ‘proper’ bike purchased. The new owner wants something cheap that will last until their test. An MOT failure with something relatively simple like swingarm bearings for dad to fix will be even cheaper. A pic taken without any attempt at window dressing could be taken as an indication of an honest machine. It’s not like Ducati ownership, it’s another world. When my daughter’s learner bike was MOT’d I expected it to fail because the handling was truly horrible and it was nowhere near as easy to ride as my 999. It was twitchy as hell. It passed easily and when I mentioned the handling, the guy said they’re all like that...
