1200 R Forcing Tft To Stay In Night Mode (black Background)?

Discussion in 'Monster' started by dubcat, Jun 23, 2019.

  1. Does anyone else think the TFT display looks much nicer with the black background that comes on when you ride in the dark? Has anyone else bothered to force their TFT to stay in this night mode? If so, where is the light sensor that you have to cover up?

  2. I agree that the black is nicer. I've changed it permanently.
You don't have to cover-up anything. It's an option in the menu: Day, Night or Auto.
The manual is your friend. ;)

  4. Does it make the display any more visible when its sunny ?

  5. I think so. I changed it to black as soon I I got it the bike. Never really had the sun issue people were talking about.

  6. Yes. Switched mine from auto to the night (dark) today and tried it whilst riding in very bright sunshine. Much better than the daylight (white) display which I’ve been riding with - and struggling to see. Will leave mine on dark from now on...

  8. Lucky buggers, I've had to put black electric tape over the sensors on my 765 RS .
