  1. Fellow members,

I need to transfer currency to a fellow EU member state (Sweden) the rate my bank (Lloyds TSB) is offering is not very good. Any leads as to how i can get the best exchange rate?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Ask another bank?

    Google it?

  4. I believe paypal have the worst rep in the known galaxy for their exchange rates. If you purchase anything on ebay in non £, check the rate they give you!

  5. I saw a leaflet in the Post office the other day - they have a new low cost (evidently) money transfer service, might be worth checking out.

  6. Send it to me, I will use Western Union, convert it into Nigerian Shillings, which I will put into the bank account of a very dear friend who is a prince but unfortunately is unable to take money out of his own country. Send me your bank account details and pin number then I will deposit £1,000,000 each week.

  7. I try to use the currency rate my credit card provider uses, just to get around paypal. So I buy everything in pounds from ebay, and do not let paypal convert the currency. Just a very stupid question, can't you send him the amount in pounds, and his bank would do the exchange?

  8. Transfer wise are generally decent
I have a euro account, and when I move money between my GBP account and euro account, I use transfer wise as banking rates are generally shocking

  9. Sounds legit...:upyeah:

  10. Thanks for all the advice chaps, will look into them all and hopefully make a decision by Monday, as its not possible to do anything over weekend while markets are shut.

Must say, im tempted by the Nigerian Prince offer. Sounds ideal to me
