  1. hi chaps, if i was to change my showa forks to ohlins on my 748 bp track bike what else would i have to change?? cheers

also thinking of changing some of the bolts on the bike as there going rusty and some have rounded off, is it best to use stainless though out or can i use titanium on some?? is there any where i shouldnt use titanium??

  2. depends on the source of the ohlins
but if you go road and track them you will likely need a bottom yoke/steerer tube too as they are 56mm whereas Showa are 53mm

if you use OEM ohlins from 996R, i think they slot straight in to standard yokes but the brake rotor offset is different 15mm over the more normal 10mm

  3. Get your Showa forks revalved. They can be made to work pretty much as good as Ohlins kit.

  4. but they aint ohlins…

the 996r ohlins is 56mm bottom yoke

  5. I agree they 'aint Ohlins' but they work just as well once revalved and don't cost silly money.

And you wont have to replace the fork seals every year.;)
