As above thats the only way i could describe it. Lots of users on here will document what they do on their bikes. Start thread in whatever subgroup and do some work, show what theyre doing, what work has been done etc etc. But that tends to get lost in the forum as time goes on.. If members keep their bikes for a while they might do a bit more, another project/whatever... What about if there was a sub group on here where (if you thought you were going to keep the bike for a while) or had lots of plans for ongoing work....you could keep adding to your "area"? - you could then create a sub group say, fork change, brake upgrade etc etc then its all laid out. All the above being said there is a privacy issue in that your putting everything that you do to the bike online...i suppose it depends how much you want to show.. Thought it might be a good neutral area for anyone wanting to sell a bike - they could just say - "go have a look on the ducati forum" and all your work is there, everything youve done in a public area giving the buyer some transparency.... Just a thought...
Sounds like a good idea. Customising a thread specifically would be a good way of collecting information and an easy way for anyone wanting to access it.
Yeah - case in point is myself....my hyper1100 engine rebuild is lost (well not lost but youd have to go looking for it)
I bought my MTS off Andy on here, one of the major deciding factors was a thread showing all the work that had been done. It was over 2 1/2 hours away from me so might not have bothered without that extra info. And always good to see what others have done.
Ah - well there wasnt any need to do that...i was just making a point of it being a large post with lots of work done...etc etc...not a problem @Ducbird just demonstrating my thoughts for the whole sub group idea...
