As featured in Practical Sportsbikes: Honda CB900F painted as a replica of Freddie Spencer’s AMA-winning 750, only with the much more powerful drag racers’ favourite, Suzuki GSX1100 EFE, but taken out to 1230cc (although the magazine article states that they could not vouch that the 1230cc conversion had been done, the bike was ridden by a Dutch Suzuki specialist at Spa who told me he was certain it had been done (and by the way it left a Grumpy Katana, a friend of mine owns, on the Kemel Straight at Spa, I’d agree!) Fireblade forks CBR600 17” wheels for decent tyre choice Monoshocked frame/CBR swingarm Venhill quick action throttle Goodrich hoses Renthall ‘bars Bespoke top yoke Ohlins fork springs Dyna coils Marving exhaust fitted (with removable baffle) New EBC clutch plates, springs and bolts Spares: Original yoke Spare carbs (GSXR) Second exhaust with Yoshi can Road legal/OEM lights/horn (never had a problem with MOTs) V5C in my name. I bought this primarily to use as my track bike for classic bike days at Spa in the Bikers Classic events, plus at Ty Croes and RAF Valley. It proved to be an absolutely awesome hoot to hoon around on, however my hands no longer work well enough for cable operated clutches, so we have very sadly come to a parting of the ways. I refuse to muck about asking more to then haggle to end up at the price I will sell at. For that reason I ask the price I will sell at and will not sell for less. If £3,500 for this handsome bike in full working order does not appeal, please search for one at a price that makes you happier. Love and best wishes
That’s very nice, being once owned by Johnny Vegas may carry a certain provenance for some. A good price too, If I had the space I would.
