About 10'000 km ago I had a problem with vibrating front brakes. If I remember correctly, the vibration was strongest at about 90 km/h (probably matching the resonance frequency of the fork). In my case, the problem was caused by a defect on the rim. One of the spokes on which the disk is fixed was out-of-plane by 0.07mm. This caused the disk to wear asymmetrically, hence causing a non-uniform force when braking. After machining the rim on-site I mounted a new disk. The other side was OK. The problem is completely gone. I put two videos on peertube: * https://libre.video/videos/watch/18405fd2-cbdd-4c11-8dd4-ff0c314405e2 * https://libre.video/videos/watch/4963a540-6da8-4a24-af4e-06f90b601659 Below is a photo of my "on-site lathe" setup. I hope this can be useful for others.
