Icon Front Fork Spring

  1. Been riding my 2020 scrambler 800 Icon more and more, finding the front forks harsh more and more !. I've read as much as I can find, adverts for replacement fork springs are for pairs, but I read there is only one spring - in the right leg. So I just opened up the easy to get to left leg - no spacer no spring.
Obviously the rate of one spring is around double of each of the pairs. so what rate is the single spring ?, can't find a positive answer anywhere.
    Regards all.....

  2. I have no idea. I fitted an Andreani cartridge conversion which has a spring in each leg with full adjustment got preload compression and rebound damping.

  3. I have an Icon 800 NG (2024) and did a lot of research with my dealer and on the internet, looking at alternatives. I found my choices were limited. There is no replacement spring from Ducati for the OE fitment and I could find nothing on the Kayaba website. Aftermarket cartridge kits are available from Andreani, Nitron, Maxton and (my choice) Ktech. I have the Ktech Tracker cartridge kit with 6N springs which you have to buy separately. I also fitted an Öhlins rear shock. I'm still fine tuning but it is a big step forward. Andy

  4. Matris rear shock on my Scrambler Classic. Still got the hard seat though. :(
