Forks on my MY04 ST3 are away at k-tech When installed the top of the fork leg was flush with the top clamp - no rings showing Wondered if this was 'standard' or whether rings should be showing above the clamp ? Can anyone tell me the correct setup with reference to the top of the upper fork clamp please?
I'm pretty sure that "flush" is the standard set-up, with rings only showing if the front end is lower than standard - but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong...
K Tech will probably be happy to advise where best to set them for your weight, type of riding vs their set up...
Yup, listen to K Tech when you pick them up. When I got my Ohlins back from a service I decided to drop the front a couple of notches thinking I'd speed up the steering a bit. And also to kid myself that I knew exactly what I was doing. Anyhow, on the first session of my next trackday I tucked the front and slid for what felt like miles. Excellent result!
