  1. Guys I'm changing the fuel sender tomorrow, ( yep the nuts cracked ) and know this may seem a daft question, but is the fuel filter canister inside the fuel tank?

  2. Yes it is.

  3. Are you just replacing the nut or the complete sender?

  4. Yes mate, I've seen the thread on the nut and how to remove the plug but haven't got time to do it that way, all parts were in stock @p&h so I bit the bullet, thanks for answering my question, have you done the modification

  5. Dam, I knew that one!

  6. Yes, I have the prototype nut made by final edition before production started, I put a diy guide to removing the plug on another thread somewhere.

Be very careful tightening the new plastic nut, a smear of vaseline on the rubbers will help it seat.

  7. Re-seating the pump assembly can be a right pain in the arse; I had to do it a few times on my 748.
Top tip is to get some bolts that are longer that normal, and tighten them down a bit at a time to get it to sit flush and square. Then once it is; or getting close, you can take them out and put in the correct ones.

I think the manual says to swap the rubber ring each time; but i never did.

  10. The large 'O' ring swells after time, it still works until you remove it and then it's too big to refit.

But if you leave it a while to dry out, you can use it again... :upyeah:
