1200 Fuel Sensor Removal Tool?

  1. I’ve got a knackered fuel sensor like everyone else in the world. I’ve got a new one ready to fit, the tank is off. How do I get the old one off the tank and new one on? I can’t find a tool in the my shed that will fit this: A8B4C03F-F2AF-4334-AECF-8E0267FFB76F.jpeg

  2. Your hand

  3. Tricky with the blister caused by burning my hand on the bloody heated grips. Rode 450 miles on Friday, wondered why I could smell burning.
Should it really be removable by hand?

  4. Yeah those grips get hot!! Luckily mine broke before they injured me  I’m not sure it that’s the way it’s meant to be but I took my original off by hand and then replaced the replacement by hand when it went for the second time haha

  5. Done!
Got it off by hand......there’s nothing like the feeling of petrol in a burst blister.

  6. ring spanner was the proper tool for the job.
Just measure it across opposing flats to determine the size needed

  7. Used hand. My new sensor is more accurate on the dvt also. Low fuel light comes on a little later too.
