996 Fuel Tank Range

  1. Hi guys what sort of mileage are you getting from your 996/748/916 fuel tanks, I can't remember for the life of me what my old 748 used to do when full,only ask as I could have a 996 in the pipe line soon and debating weather to sell the 1198 and just keep the 996. Cheers

  2. Fuel light comes on at about 110 and I have gone on for a further 25 miles without running out, spirited riding on my 853.

    The extra 25 miles was in fuel save mode as I didn't know where the next petrol station would be.

  3. I keep a close check on fuel consumption and I am getting an average of 42/43 mpg.

    With a 17 litre tank i should be running out of fuel at about 150 miles.

  4. Light comes on about 110. Did another gentle 15 the other night and when I went to fill up was surprised how much I could see.

  6. My 996s will do 120 ish miles until light comes on then I've done another 10 miles with no issues. There is always fuel left when I look in the tank.
