I'm thinking of buying a Garmin 395 or 595 for my 1200S and was wondering if anyone had fitted one to a 1200. Specifically, does it mount OK and how did you wire it? I'd prefer to wire it through a circuit that is switched on and off with the ignition rather than straight off the battery (which has to be a pain anyway given where it is). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Will be fitting a 390 on mine via a navihalter (thanks @Grayspeed) apparently there is a pre installed power lead on Lhs near the front fork I've seen fitting information on here and on youtube
Hey Nigel, I originally posted this on the monster thread, because I have a Monster 1200S, but it was moved to the technical help thread. Do you have a Monster or a Multistrada? I ask because the info I've come across on the navihalter is all for the Multistrada.
