I've just swapped the engine out of my 749 as I thought I'd smashed 4 gear, I changed up from 3 to 4th, nothing there, tried again to a load bang and alot of metal on metal noise. So I bought a 2,400 mile engine, swapped out and had the same symptoms on the test ride, but was wise to it this time so slowed down and manged to get it into gear, bit of a lump but nothing more. Is there a recall for this, both engines are from 2006, really don't want to trash another motor.
