Hi all, anybody bought the Givi screen for the Multistrada 1200 (60cms x 47cms) are you happy with it, is it better than standard?????? Thanks Richard
Richard, I have had the Givi screen on my MTS for over a year now. For me it is better than the standard screen offering much more protection when touring. It is even better with Aztec's spacer things fitted. cheers
When the Givi screen turned up at the dealers they let me try it on their demo as well as a MRA and for me the MRA is much better. Much less turbulance with the MRA, the Givi is IMO just a little too tall and it does not deflect the air up and over the rider as its the same shape as the standard screen just higher So its going to be the MRA for me. A very big thanks to Riders of Bristol for allowing me to try before you buy.
The label says 56321 - 23105 - P0 81647 MRA MTS1200 MULTISTRADA VARIO TOURING in grey RRP £115 (I think the part number is MRA 56321) There is a bigger one at RRP £142 but I liked the smaller one for looks and performance.
There is still some wind but no buffeting. I have a chin vent on my Schuberth and on the standard screen it was noisier with it open. With the MRA quiet open or closed. IMHO its much better. Have not done long runs yet but I am happy. ps I am 5'9 or 5'10 in height. I have the spoiler on the windscreen as high as it will go. Hope this helps.
Alot of people here and on other forums seem to be holding out big hopes for CP wings and the Puig sports screen, personally I'm trying to make some infill panels to fit the screen cutout and see if I can eliminate the windrush around the screen. Seems ducati forgot to put the bike in a windtunnel before they finalised the design, hopefully now Audi are in charge it won't happen on future bikes
