Hi all. Just wondering which glue you would recommend for fixing these DP mirrors. Plastic welding is not an option unless I try to soak the glass in alcohol and try to remove it. These were broken before I bought them and got them cheap so not really too bothered if it doesn't work out. Thanks, Ian
Are they ABS plastic? Try visiting a good model shop and get something like Mek Weld. That reacts with both surfaces and chemically welds them together.
Ian I have some JB Plastic Bond I used for the fairing repair, not sure if its a bit thick but that stuff certainly sticks. Bring them up when your coming and we can try that if you like John
Cheers, John. Much appreciated. I've just bought some plastic weld glue from a model shop so I'll have a go with that over the weekend and see how it works out. If it doesn't, I'll bring them up with me. Ian
Not sure what plastic they are Chris. Almost like an abs plastic with a sort of rubber coating on the outside. Internally, where broken, just looks like normal plastic, no rubber.
