Hagon Shock - Any Tried Them ...

  1. The std rear on a Diavel is not great. Mine seized juts out of warranty, so I got a new one and had to pay for the labour. However, I also uprated it to the heavier spring - which has made it better...

That said the fork /rear suspension combo is not a Diavel strong point. Ohlins in one option - but the ohlins brand no longer really delivers to the ohlins price ...
As anyone tried the Hagon option?
And can you change the rear shock and get the forks to work, or do you have to change the cartridge in the forks?

  2. Not sure where you have found a Hagon. I have searched their UK web site and it has nothing. Alo, by what yard stick are you measuring "ohlins brand no longer really delivers to the ohlins price" ? I have only seen one Diavel with full Ohlins up close and the difference was night and day. If I could find the funds, Santa would be wrapping them up for my girlfriend for her Diavel at this very moment. Andy

  3. Shock Absorbers.

I ran an ohlins on my GS Adv that i ploughed up and down the Alps for a few years. It was brilliant - the best mod I ever did. 15k kms in two years ... But in those days (2006) it cost 398 quid for fully adjustable , with a remote.
Ohlins are good - but it's more about the cachet and the brand
I was able to fit it in 1/2 hr.
With the Diavel it is around 900 smackers plus another 400 labour ...

  4. Sadly the whole swing arm needs to be removed and that is time consuming. Andy

  5. Andy, is that a job that can be done at home with an Abba stand, or is that a professional only job?

  6. In my opinion, it should not be beyond a confident home mechanic with the correct tools. As I do not know which frame hole the Abba stand uses, I'm not sure if it is the tool to use. I am sure if you post a question in the technical help section, you will get advice. Andy
