  8. As a matter of interest, how many racing drivers that are still racing have been awarded a knighthood or similar award?

    I can't think of any.....not even Shumacher, I think.

    IIRC Stirling Moss and Jackie Stewart are the only two, but they got theirs after they stopped racing.

    So why do people think Hamilton deserves one?

Well that opens up all sorts of questions about the reasons for knighthoods in general Al, but if they are going to be given to recognise achievements in a particular field particularly when that field relates to being able to represent your country then a seven time world champion deserves one
