Handlebar End Caps

I have just tried to prise off one of the factory fitted plastic end caps,it seems a bit stubborn.Am I right in assuming they are push fit items and I need a little bit more brute force to get them off?Thankyou.

Yes they are but they are very, very tight!

Thankyou Antonye.Brute force it is then.I want to get them off so I can put some weight in the ends and cut down some of the vibes.
