So, some will remember from pictures I posted of my 748RS engine purchase that they hadn't been partcularly well protected from the elements. Specifically the belt tension rollers were rusty. Anyway I found a set of good rollers in a box which are going into the build and I want to restore the ones that are coming off. Is hard andising going to be hard wearing enough to protect the cleaned metal surface from the abraisive effects of the belt whizzing around at a great rate of knots and if it is, any recommendations for where I can get it done ? What material are they though Andy? If they're rusty it would point to them being ferrous as ali & other non ferrous don't rust & anodising's for non ferrous.
