  6. Remember Michael Douglas riding one of these in a film 'Black Rain' and beating a GsxR :). Awful unreliable marketing exercise from HD.

  7. There were some quick Harley-Ds back in the days of Cal Rayborn and Renzo Pasolini. Like the XR750 road racer. Sadly the CR1000 was always a poor imitation.

  8. I remember them coming out, they weren't around long. Can't remember seeing one on the road ever. Rare bike premium.

  9. If memory serves me right, the XLCR1000 is HD's only attempt to date at a "European" shaped motorcycle - as opposed to a cruiser / old-fashioned / American shape motorcycle. Americans didn't like it because it wasn't the right shape, and nobody else liked it because it was a HD. They are another bike that is rare as rocking-horse poo... Somebody will probably pay £25K for it, but I wouldn't !
