I wish to have a physical book made of my sayings collections which have extended over 30 years of scribbles. I shall have to look into the legality of publishing such a thing & fostering the ability to make a book would also give me the control of its production runs.
No, well spotted, I scoured Amazon, just so I could have a couple of books with my name on them on the bookshelf. I’d like to point out I’m not the actor Steven Harper (from ‘The Wire’), the Brazilian tap dancer, the gay porn star or the exCanadian prime minister (Stephen Harper)
First thing to do is learn English. "Have you wrote a book" is very poor. My wife has written a few and published on Kindle. Her first, "A Red Waterproof Jacket" is a true life romantic adventure, her second "The Mouse and the Microlight" is a children's book based on experiences. There are a couple more too. You will never make enough money out of it to pay for your bike fuel. Chances of getting a publisher to take anything on is impossible unless you are famous to start with.
Oh shame, I was hoping you were going to say yes. Why not be a little more economical with the truth in future.
My aunt, long since deceased, was an established and sucessful children's author with books published globally. In her later years she self published a few more serious historical books, I think she lost money, or at best broke even, on those. If you want to just get your written word out there then congratulations on givinging it a go. Good luck but don't expect to make any significant financial gain. For every best selling author there's a large cohort of struggling scribes. I agree with Bob. I read this thread based on the title thinking it was a quip on poor English being used in print...
