I have started this thread again as it was moved to 'super bike'. Due to water in the oil (a lot) have thinking maybe its not the head gasket (apparently the ways are far apart) it could be the water pump as the bearing is lubed by the internal oil.. Before steaming in on the head is there a way of checking the pump ? Apparently no one around here has seen a 999 head gasket go .. :frown:
