1200 Headlight Adjustment

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by ymfb, Jul 2, 2014.

  1. I have read the manual, but cannot see the adjustors required to reduce the dipped light beam. Are they in recesses of the casting ? Are they hex, cap heads, torx, ?

Im getting desperate or its a two hour ride on Saturday, which I don't mind, but I'm not time rich at present.

    Any pointers gratefully received.

  2. They are bolt heads and also have a posi screw hole in them from memory.
Should be just behind the bulb connector wires at the bottom towards the left and right of the headlight mounting for up and down movement and right up near the top behind the dash for side to side adjustments.
I can't remember if you need to have the black plastic dash trim off or not to get to them - I had it removed anyway as I was fitting HIDs at the same time I did the adjustments.

Just about make them out here if memory serves

  3. No need to remove anything, I used a Phillips with a longish handle

  4. Bugger if I'd looked at this tread first I wouldn't have needed to post my reply in the earlier one!....
Michel is right, no need to remove anything, they are easily accessible. :Cigar:

  5. Steve, give me a call on my mobile and I will happily talk you through it. Anything to help someone save cash transfers to Ducati world unnecessarily. ;)
