  2. What exactly does brake light pro do !

  3. That block probably has also got rear indicator (2) and number plate light in it. Best use a circuit tester to find the brake +

  5. But to be fair the question is about wiring rather than legalities.
My 848 would probably be illegal with twin HID headlights, TST tail light and LED indicator brake lights next to the plate, but we all do these things. I get away with them because I have French registrations on all of my bikes and France does not have MOTs, on bikes, to check things.

  6. Flashing brake lights should be stuck in the bin. Distracting and worthless imho

  7. I fitted the healtech brake light pro to my last bike (blade) and it was an excellent bit of kit. You can just have it flashing for a few seconds before the light stays on. Anything that draws attention to you when you're slowing down is a good thing in my opinion, however I mainly fitted it because I thought it looked cool!

  9. No, distracting as in 'is that the sun on a reflector 'oh f^ck he's braking!' Especially if the user is touching the rear brake a lot comfort braking or similar. IMHO its more dngerouse than a very bright brake light

  10. And cyclists shouldn't be using them, as it makes it impossible to gauge speed and disctane of the object going away or towards you.

  11. I see your point Bradders. I've fitted the TST light to my bike and removed the indicators, however after seeing it in daylight I'm refitting a set of indicators as I don't think it's safe enough. I'm keeping the brake light on though as it looks cool. Only thing I would say about the Healtech is you can have it set to flash very briefly, like a second and then the light stays solid. Best of both worlds.

  13. The one I bought is supposed to plug straight in series with the connector for the rear light, and is model specific (1200 DVT), I haven't got round to fitting it yet, I'll be disappointed if it doesn't fit. I also bought the exhaust valve eliminator.

  17. No, it's got a connector at each end, I'm not back home till Thursday, so I'll get a picture then, sorry can't help now.

  18. been using a flasher unit for nearly 6 years. blink blink blink then on everytime I hit the brake.

never been hit on the back, and plenty of people have commented on it. coppers nor mot never raised any eyebrows

recommend it, people who say that should not fitted are the same people who regard day time running lights as "disadvantegous"
