1200 Heated Grips Replacement

Can aftermarket heated grips be used to replace OEM ones and use the original controls?

 

No I don't think so. I wired a set of Ofords up direct to the battery and they were so much better than the tepid OE ones on the 1200 DVT, though if I remember correctly the Twin Spark ones were OK.
@Crowsfeet. I don't know the model of Oxfords I used but if you look at their range it's pretty obvious which ones are aimed at Multistrada type bikes.

 

Hi there’s a guy on YouTube that has wired some Oxford grips in to the Ducati wiring, search for just the way it is on YouTube.

 

Thanks, answered my question. Hopefully my OEM ones on my 1260 will last but if not would give the Oxford ones a try.
