Heated grips - ST2

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by efcbluepete, Nov 11, 2012.

  1. So, after much riding around looking at bikes, I have gone for an ST2 to do any commuting and stuff to save the 998s a bit.

part of me knows I can tough it out (having commuted occasionally through winters on the 998s with just summer gloves), but part of me says why should I?

does anybody have any recommendations for heated grips? So far only seen Oxford for approx £80.

    cheers,

    Pete

  2. Just had Keis heated grips fitted by Pro Twins.Very happy with them.Have used a Keis heated body warmer for the last 2 winters and am delighted with it,well worth the money.

  3. Just remembered I had some R and G heated grips on my GT1000,they were very good as well.

  4. Heated gloves are better. Gerbings or Keis, either are good. You'll never feel cold again. Wish I'd had them 30 years ago!!

  5. Had just spent out on waterproof gloves, so thought they would do (but not quite warm enough). I see the liner gloves are about £50, grips range from £40 to £80.

    thanks for the different ideas.

  6. Silk liners under riding gloves are a good way of providing additional insulation.

  7. Got some for skiing, will try to dig out from the loft for now, until I get something electrically heated.
