So... Washed the bike yesterday (2013 Multistrada Granturisimo). Started it today and the heated grips menu appeared after 4-5 secs. I can't select the heat and the menu for riding modes etc can't be accessed. I'm thinking the starter button is stuck somehow even though its moving in and out freely. Any ideas????
A liberal spray of a proprietary water dispersant like WD40. That is part of my routine maintenance especially if I’ve been out in the rain. Andy
Sprayed liberally with WD40. It seems to be stuck on the return, I can pop it out with a fingernail but that obviously isn't the best solution. I took it apart, cleaned and oiled as best I could. No improvement. Might need further taking apart but I fear I may have reached my limits on that front!
Spray it with electrical contact cleaner. WD40 will make it sticky and crap will stick if you use WD40.
