This should be in the "Bodger of the week" thread, but we don't have one. I paid $30nz, which is probably about two boxes of Smarties in GB currency, and bought some ATV hotgrips. Then I pissed about mounting them on a bit of washing machine hose and wired them together onto a tender type plug. So my wife can just plug ,em in and if she wants she can tuck it into her jacket! High in LOL factor but very low on tech factor, hope the wife is happy on those 4C days when she is abusing me!
