  1. Yes, M6 x 1.00mm is what you need. On ebay, or these from Amazon. They require a specific sized drill to be used first so it is best to buy a kit that includes the proper drill.

  2. The drill size would be 0.1mm bigger than the thread size so an M6 thread requires a 6.1 hole ....M8 requires 8.1mm etc the fact you are probably hand drilling means the hole will be slightly bigger again but thats ok 6.2 and 8.2 etc. would be the official size.

I would recommend the "T" type tap wrench but not the ratchet type you can easily see then that it is square to the faces when you start tapping

  3. A point worth making here is that some of the threads run real close to the fresh air, take care and use a pedestal drill if you can to get as central as poss, if the motor is still in the bike or you dont feel confident try asking a mechanic that is used to fitting these coils. if you screw up you can try the worth system called time sert. but these do take more room up than a regular helicoil, good luck!

  4. Don't forget to use a threadlock when you put the helicoils in otherwise they can wind out when you next undo the studs/bolts.
