Hello From Shetland ...

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Bainie, Sep 17, 2021.

  1. Been after a Ducati for years . The big 50 this year so went for it . After months of looking, I bought this 748 Sps . Loving it , a few little niggles , which is how I found the forum . Stupid side stand now sorted and staying where its put ! Rev counter a bit sticky , and a little fairing repair required . Need to find someone who can repair it without damaging the sticker, as the left side mid panel is available, but not the right ! , sods law .... Sent all the details to Ducati who have confirmed it is a ganuine bike / original engine etc .. Very happy with her ....

  4. Welcome Bainie, nice bike - back in the 90's I bought a brand new 748SP, (mainly as I wanted a yellow one; there were not too many yellow bikes then - it replaced a red 916 Monoposto)

  11. Dad was a Scot and I've never been further North than Hull, but this seems a good excuse to venture up - particularly the bit about the potholes!

Yes, welcome! Though I'm so new here it seems a bit presumptuous of me to say it.

And anyone with a yellow bike is welcome in my book!

  12. You learn something new every day! What I've learnt today is the bins thing really isn't an ironic way of chastising us for including them in our photos!
I am ashamed for doubting you, and I apologize.
