Hello From Sunny Suffolk

  1. New to the forum, but now that I have a 749s that needs some lovin I thought I'd say hi and share a photo.

    It's a running "resto" that I suspect had been a track day bike (gulp). Runs quite well after a sluggish start up.

    I can't see F/A out the mirrors so I've ordered a blind spot convex mirror to stick on the exsisting.

    Going to do the belts (that reminds me, order white marker pen) and check valve clearances whilst I'm at it.

  20. That's a lovely bike, and from the era I got properly into biking (as a Born Again Biker), so I have a wandering eye for those 749 / 999 gen bikes (I was into air-cooled Monsters at the time).

    Oh, I'm over in the most westerly bit of Suffolk too.
