Help Sourcing A 2001, Yamaha Yzf R6, Front Brake Lever Protector

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by Android853sp, Sep 7, 2021.

  1. Trying to find a front brake lever protector for the R6 for our next track day. The standard bar end looks like this, 8169B4D0-8FC6-41B2-8358-71CD16705FBC.jpeg When removed, about 1cm of the handle bar rubber is unsupported so none of the universal solutions I’ve looked at on the internet will work. Any pointers please ? Andy

  3. Can you not get an engineering shop to turn you a couple out on a lathe Andy. Looks a simple enough part to produce.

  7. Yamaha mt09/mt10 have a very similar looking threaded bar-end.... There's plenty of brake lever protectors listed for those.
