Now as I can't get the fecker off, is it the same depth? Is the flange only because of the dome washer? Can i leave the oem one on instead?

  2. Hit it with a hammer :upyeah:

  3. Ive gripped it with moles and tapped the shaft for hours and it still won't budge. Cant use heat because of the oil seals either. Can get under it either cos of same said seals. Its being a tart.

  4. My spacer was a different depth, the o ring makes it awkward to remove but I managed mine by holding it with grips and emery paper to stop the grips slipping.

  6. emery...good idea :upyeah:

    clamp..good idea but i don't have a puller set either...:upyeah:

    i need a puller set...more tools...

  7. emery didn't work :(

  8. What an ache of the balls!
Sure mine just wiggled out... Good luck!

  9. I'm very pleased, nay relieved to hear that Nelson.

  10. have you not got a heel bar?

  11. At the risk of a gag Ive not spotted...whats a heel bar?

  12. Ah. Googled it. Trouble is Andy you can't get under it as it sits part way submerged beneath an oil seal.

  13. can you get a jubilee clip on it and tighten it with a spanner from the side to give you something to lever against………..dont forget to lever both sides together as you may be fighting against yourself…...

  14. super steel some screws on it if theirs room and use the screws to pull.

  15. Yes, Ive got some pipe clamps on order and a puller. In the meantime I've left it, drowning in penetrating oil, a few choice words and a shaking of the fist.

The one on my 916 slid off easily. I wasn't expecting it to be so troublesome. Sods law or Nelsons Will. He is putting a hex on that damn clutch. I hope his footpegs fall off.

  16. Theres no room to drill, plus its hardened steel. Otherwise yes thats what i'd have done. I do have a contingency plan involving a dremel. I may grind slots in the side to get a purchase on it with the puller.

  17. Kind of thing I would normally expect from my bike.
Fecker fights me at every opportunity!

  18. Hope it's not WD40, as that could make the seal/o ring expand.
