Plan to feed livestock on maggots reared on cow and pig excrement in bid to satisfy rapidly-expanding global demand for meat | Mail Online Its enough to make me think of turning vegetarian....... ......and eating caterpillars. AL
No, Bullshit = Maggots, not snails.......... ....but I agree with you, so let's hope it isn't true................
No idea if it is true but it is all down to demand. If enough of the public don't care about animal welfare and provenance and are happy to eat chickens and pigs etc that never see daylight or breath fresh air then maybe they wont care about this either. If it bothers people enough they will either go veggie or make sure they eat proper fee range where at least the animals get a happy and normal ish life. More expensive I know but much tastier. Its up to us! If only the small local abattoirs had not had to close then then they would not have to be driven so far at the end.
But.....Is a maggot 'animal protein'.....'cos if it is, then it looks remarkably like the CJD (Mad cow) issue again.....
sounds like a reasonable fiscal response...anyway, when it all goes tits up and humans start contracting more brain rotting diseases we can have another kill n burn in the countryside... gotta get those profit margins up...
Chickens, fish and pigs have always eaten worms, grubs, and every kind of insects, whenever they can find them. So what? The ghastly Mail yet again takes some innocuous story, spins it to try and make it sound shocking, and somehow connects it to the EU. Business as usual then.
All to whip up more hysteria amongst the faithful swivel eyed loons - the ones hiding behind the twitching curtains in swiveleyesation.
Not wishing to defend the Direly Banal ... nope, no wish to defend that rag. Still. Feeding cows and pigs on maggots that have fed on cow and pig excrement, said excrement having been produced by cows and pigs eating maggots fed on cow and pig excrement ... uh, you see where that's headed, right? If this story had been produced by any other useless piece of toilet paper rather than the Mail, I may have gotten a little concerned.
sure I saw bear grills eating some. sure he said they are full of protein. all we have to be careful of is that the maggots aren't fed on horsemeat !!
You make me laugh with your schoolboy error........you omitted the ruminants, which of course you know (but declined to mention them owing to simplicity for the lesser mortals' benefit) should not be fed animal protein.....because as you know (but declined to mention) apparently caused CJD (which as you know, but declined to mention is Mad Cow disease). If you think the DM is so ghastly, why did you even deign to attempt to comment?
I have to wonder who could possibly believe the crap the daily fail print. Sadly, many people do......
