Hi Just joined the forum, have several bikes, one of them is a ducati 906, that is in need of a complete cosmetic refurb, but and its a big but every time I go to start stripping it down something happens, I decide to take it for a final ride to check everything is mechanically sound, as I do not want to have to start dismantling freshly painted bodywork if there is a need, and then comes the problem either there is a little problem to sortand then another ride to check its done. when all is well the real problem arises and that is I just enjoy riding it too much so I decide to leave the cosmetics as they are and do it another time. So just replaced belts checked and reset valve clearances, and replaced starter and associated wiring.Actually resetting valve clearances is a bit of an overstatement, checked them they were all out slightly, remembered reading on the paso forum that the half rings had a tendency to wear so c hanged these and rechecked clearances and they were all good Picture of my 906 paso from last year, its not improved cosmetically but dont think its got any worse, well I dont think so.... One of my sons says its so ugly its almost pretty, I said just like your girlfriend then Paul
You join the forum late in the evening. Welcome paul_mils, I'm keeping my circadium rhythm in sync for my coming night-shifts.
Welcome, lovely roads up there, haven’t been for a few years but used to stay with my friend in Bonchester Bridge and do a big loop on the bike out around Peebles/selkirk/moffat etc
Hello and welcome. A fine part of the world. Living only 40 miles south of the border I'm frequently up that way myself. Nice to see a Paso that's actually had some serious use.
