My mates R1 was lifted over his car in the garage, so it is feasible and that was chained to a ground anchor. As you’re aware if they want it enough they’ll take it.

Theives picked up and carried a friends fully loaded harley glide thing from his locked up garage. Over two cars blocking the drive with only the width of a skinny guys room to manoeuvre. His Dad was the local crime prevention copper too. So everything was locked up properly. They did this whilst they slept. You'll never stop dedicated theives, the best you can hope for is to stop the chancers. I fear for your mudguard with that.
Good to read all the comments, can't have enough threads like this as a reminder. It's always worth going that extra security step if possible in the hope that you will save your bike(s).
