Anyone else had problems hitting neutral when flat out going from 5 th to 6 th ? I don't know if Inuits me over concentrating and not touching quick shifter hard enough . Was considering race sift to cure this as pressing down may be more positive . But just found out the corse rear sets are not race shift compatible from ducati only standard rear sets strange one .
Disappointed to hear about this quick shifter stuff on the pannies! My 1198sp was bl**dy awful and I haven't had an issue so far on the 899 but only running it in so far and it hasn't missed a beat and all at below 6k revs. I would expect more problems at lower revs so I will be well cheesed off once I let loose. I also considered race set up as I doubted my touch when on track but haven't done it yet. Now the 1198 is being prep'd for track I may do it.
I had a few missed gears going from 5th to 6th on my 1199s, put it down to me being to gentle. Not had a missed gear since I have pulled the lever harder.
I've had a few false neutrals between 5th and 6th. I tend to use the clutch in the higher gears as I find the revs aren't really high enough to quick shift.
It's happened to me twice, not ideal when I'm running in. I figured it's me not being more positive with the lever.
It does, but I don't find it particularly smooth unless its in the highter rpm. Definitely about being positive.
1-2 and 5-6 have a wide gate so the spanner turner at seastars Ducati told me. I had the shifter set lower to make shifts more positive. Also try holding the lever up for the briefest of moments longer, habit can have you just knocking it up rather than firmly engaging and iv found that with both these easy remedies iv had no slips......yet
