This Huddersfield guy stole almost £19 million pounds from his employer Gambler Jonathan Revill ordered to pay back more money by court - Huddersfield Examiner
Love the Mullet and the Google advertising in the centre of the article. "Do you need temporary staff"... Etc....spat out me morning coffee.
I honestly don't know... I ask you what's gone wrong with people today... I mean stealing and that sort of thing.
If you were up in front of a judge on an application for a confiscation order under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 etc, would you tell the court: (A). I laundered all the money through a gambling racket and you will find it in a numbered account in the Cayman Islands; or (B). I gambled it all away, it's never coming back, and I am now penniless.
Are these kind of things not traceable these days ? Who was he gambling with ? Sure cash can just disappear, but £19 million ? So scamming, aka theft, is OK in your book chisel ?
Off a large corporation it is, in a robin hood kinda way.. I know it will always come back to the consumer to foot the bill in the end but every now and then its nice to hear some one has stuck it to these rouges that are constantly robbing us... Just wish there was a better way of doing it so it didnt cost the lil guy anything...
