To answer the are you safer thread and the question can you gun it out of a corner and let TC sort shit out the answer is HELL YES! Riding home roads were dry got progressively damper/greasier. I decided to take long way home and hit a few twisties. Bad idea roads were greasy near home and loads of surface run off. Anyway came round 'chinese' as I call it. Long right easily knee down in dry/warm. Immediately setup for the left and negotiate it then just as you drive out it kinks left.I came round in 2nd nice and easy and my left foot slipped off the peg. My winter gloves are very grippy and immediately before I know it as I slip my right hand pulls the throttle fully open! Rear shoots to the right, immediately TC lights up, controls it, as I surge forward listening to the TC, it somehow allows me the time to gather the presence of mind to roll the throttle not shut it. Get home. Change pants. Gobsmacked at how perfectly controlled the whole mess was. With no TC I was probably off to see Tim Peake. Bet it looked cool as fuck from behind though. [emoji13] So yes you are safer and yes TC will light up and control WOT off a corner.
Cool, glad the electronics saved the day. What riding mode were you in, just out of interest? I'm hoping you were in race mode and you were properly sideways before the TC kicked in and it all looked very cool and deliberate :sunglasses:
Sport mode with the engine setting on high instead of medium. If I was in race I would have been even more sideways.
Do you choose not to use wet mode when it's damp? I'm a big wuss and if there's the slightest hint of a rain drop in the air I'm in wet mode :sweatdrops:
I only use it when its raining and there's surface water. I use sport with the engine on high as I find throttle response predictable. It only broke loose due to the slip and grabbing a handful. I really need to replace my boots as the soles are so worn its ridiculous.
