hi everyone. I just purchased a CTEK 5.0 as my Hyper's battery is not holding charge. the instructions don't specify, but how long should I keep it charged to make sure it "repairs" my battery in the best way (provided it's still possible)? 24h? 48h? thanks Fed
Long as poss, a few days at least. It should desulphate and cycle automatically. I switch mine off for an hour every few days to reboot charging process, that might not be right thing to do but seems to work for me.
thanks I plugged it at 7pm yesterday and this morning (12h later) it had finished most steps and was during reconditioning, prior to going to maintenance mode. I unplugged it as I am not happy leaving it connected until it gets to maintenance mode but I plan to reconnect it every night for a couple more days
I hope the battery is still good, otherwise I guess the CTEK would have stopped after step 3 and would have told me it can't hold the charge?
