  2. Wow, you like your bikes then!

I would be interested to know which of these has given you the most pleasure? Not from the point of view of performance, but general overall feeling.
Also, what was your first bike?

    Ducati 916Bip...the addiction starter.
    Ducati 916SPS...the 'Keeper'.
Ducati Multistrada 1100...jury's still out in this one for me.
Ducati 998Bip..the Mrs demanded a two seater to keep the SPS company!
    Ducati 999S...nice, flexible motor.
Ducati 1098S Tricolore...wish I'd never written it off
Ducati 1098S Tricolore...wish I'd never sold it
    Ducati Hypermotard 1100S..a real hoot.

    - Ducati 500 Pantah - turned it into a 600 Pantah and fell off loads

    - Ducati 851 Never fell off that either
    - Ducati 907ie for touring once I'd sold the Pantah (before it killed me)
    - Ducati 916 - stolen before I could fall off
    - Ducati 916 - to replace the stolen one
    - Ducati 749 - wrote it off in a year (but not my fault for once)
    - Ducati 999s (the first version)
    - Ducati 999 (a black one - 2005 version) Still have. Haven't fallen off it yet.

Two questions for Motojohn: (1) Are you 103 years old? Must work out at a bike every six months or so. (2) Why did you sell the Bimota DB2 (aka DB Worm)?

  12. Can't find my list at the moment, but under 50, over 30.....but borrowed / ridden who knows how many more on top.

    AL

  13. im 52 with the mentality of a 10 year old i love bikes started riding at 18 but didn't pass my car driving test till i was 30 so bikes were my main transport always had two on the road , as you used to be able to get a rider policy so you were cover for any bike you owend ,the DB2 was a big mistake bought it for 3k with a lot of work needed as it had been stood for 10 years sold it for 4.5k it was a total beast the motor out did the chassi sold it to a ex policeman who begged me to selli to him and he promissed not to sell it as he always wanted one
2 weeks later it was sold on ebay for 6.5k , live and learn

  20. Lucky you! I have had 7 only. The first, a Yamaha YDS3 being sold to finance 2nd year at Uni. God, that was back in 1969! No more bikes then until 50, family of small children, job commitments all excuses for running cars only for decades. Pestered wife so much that in the end, with kids past teens and at 50 she relented so from then;
    Suzuki SV650 to get started
Honda CBR600 Rossi Rep, Nastro Azzuro
    BMW K1200R
    KTM Superduke
    Triumph Street Triple R
Ducati MTS1200S - Current love affair, and takes care of my aching old joints, fast, comfy and handles, Heaven!

ps for long lists like yours Excel spreadsheet is the answer then you can sort list order any way you like!
