How To Deal With Off Season When You Can't Ride

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by DucatiChic, Feb 21, 2015.

  1. What are some things to do in the "off season" when perhaps you cannot ride? Right now I am getting (possibly) over a foot of snow. I love where I live most of the time but days like today can be rough. My riding season is very short yet I try to find ways to improve until the next opportunity to ride. Whether it be reading, learning something new about my bikes or Ducati in general, tinkering or shopping for new gear and accessories. How about others?

  2. Got a vfr for winter. Thinking a green laner might be better though. Got a copy of Tourist Trorphy for the PS2 that keeps me busy for a bit. Pushbike gets stripped and fettled in the kitchen and the occasional ride. Try and get out and exercise so the leathers still fit. Browse endless ebay listings for stuff.

winter is busy at work for me so keeps me fairly busy, if I had more spare cash I'd be heading for the winter sun for some riding time.

  3. Being in CO I'm guessing you already ski or board in your spare time. If not then you should :)

  12. Cranker and Bradders have said it all;)

  13. Exige...I'm always looking for bargains as Ducati anything is hard to get in CO. When I have extra money I'm always headed to the 2 Ducati places in my state. Many times I'm buying online and shipping here. My boys think I'm a bit obsessed....nahhhh.

  16. Exige, yes. Colorado. I live at 12000 feet near the ski resorts ( Keystone, Vail, Breckenridge). I own 2 monsters; 620 and S4R. My first bike was an old Yamaha Virago. Plan to give it to my younger son. As for what I own...more Ducati clothes than anything. 2 helmets though I need a new one. Ducati accessories like robes, towels, backpacks, socks, satchels, purse, hats, posters, small figurines, and the list goes on and on. Need boots, bed sheet sets, want a Ducati stuffed bear. I'm a bit of a collector. ;)

  20. I actually have a plan...idea but hope to put into action. Wanting to open a Ducati Caffè in Colorado. Would be the first in the US. My family and friends think I can do it, I know I can. Having Italian roots helps too...
