OK here is the way to remove the colour panels withput breaking them (like wot I did ). Open the case and remove the 3 screws across the middle of the door on the raised piping. Remove the top 4 screws around the outer section of the door just below the rubber gaiter. Shut the pannier. Push down on the top of the coloured section and observe that there are two 3 pronged lugs located approx 6 inches from the front of the panel and 2 inches from the rear. THESE BREAK if you do not remove the black screws as above ( like wot I did) You can now ease out the top of the panel and remove it completely. The panel is actually fixed by a compression of the two parts of the door carcass and thats why the lugs break if the two parts are not loosened. Finally you can remove the Ducati logos with some heat from a hair dryer and a sharo twist of a pointed knife. ( These labels are £10 each so i will be reusing mine with some assistance from Mr Bostick.)
Hi B1stoboy, been at work all day so couldn't send you this pic of the screws to remove to access the panels, i too reused the badges with the help of sticky stuff. If you remove all the screws round the outside this gives you access too by removing the outer cover of the pannier, but see you have found that out already.
