Hi guys. Anyone out there have a standard 1100 front disc they can weigh for me please? Doesn't have to be super accurate - just to the nearest 100g or so. Cheers, Matt
Keep us posted on new addition. I’d like to shave some weight (especially as the bike won’t start and I have to push it everywhere!)
So far I have the 1100 SP down to 172kg with a full tank of fuel. I've saved weight with the following mods/additions: Full SC/Akrapovic exhaust DP rearsets DP carbon number plate holder DP rear indicators A whole bunch of other DP carbon Removal of passenger pegs DP seat CRG carbon fibre brake and clutch levers Renthal rear sprocket and hub Future mods will include: Lithium battery Alloy rear subframe Titanium front axle Titanium rear wheel nuts BST carbon fibre wheels. This should bring the wet weight down to approximately 165 kg, and bring the power to weight ratio up to 581 bhp per ton. When you consider the new 950 has approximately 500 bhp per ton, this will make the 1100 pretty darn fruity. Should handle a treat, too! Matt
I like your progress and plans. Bang for buck on remainder is probably the lithium battery. Most impact, particularly on handling will be carbon rims but the price makes me cringe - that said I expect I’ll follow suit if I can send the misses out shopping on the day the wheels are delivered!
