Dear All, I've lost use of the front indicators. when out last week, I noticed the front right wasn't working, the left was ok. I automatically thought it was a bulb. Got home, took bulb out, looked ok visually. Took bulb out left side, put it in right, it worked. Put it back in left side not working. Stripped headlight/Beak to get to wiring. both bulbs test ok. The connectors are giving 5 volts which is correct according to wiring diagram {I think}. I'm at the limit of my ability because of the CAN BUS system. I think I'm faced with going to a dealer to have it plugged in to diagnostic? I'd appreciate any thoughts / help anyone can offer. Regards....... John.
A bit of a random one but Mrs Visor had this with a rear indicator on her Hyperstrada 821. It turned out it was the wrong bulb that had been put in when replaced. Might be worth checking it is the right one, I just used the Halfords guide and hey presto all good again.
HI thanks for you reply. I think I'm sorted now. It seems there's been a number of red herrings in my case. I firstly found that the contacts from the spades were touching on one side. it seems the original problem is looking like a broken wire. Had both sides working, but when putting the right side back together it stopped working. I've swapped the bulb holder for one from my multistrada, same thing happened which is pointing me to the wiring. Tomorrow, I'll check the wiring with a multi meter. Its a relief, as the indicators are powered from the clocks, expensive! Thanks for your help. Cheers..... John.
